Lashing Bars
Lashing bars are heavy duty steel accessories, who in combination with turn buckles, are used to tension a ship’s container lashing. They consist of a swivel head that connects to the container corner casting. The other end is ingenerally connected the turnbuckle for the specific container. The turnbuckle is tied to the ship’s deck with a lashing plate. There are 2 types of Lashing bars: knob lashing bars are used with knob turnbuckles and eye/swivel head lashing bars are used with the jaw/hook turnbuckles. These turnbuckles are then connected to the Lashing Plate or D_ring welded onto the ships deck
