These two types of beams are the most used under-the-hook lifting devices. They support and stabilize loads during overhead lifts to keep the slings below them at or at least perpendicular to the horizon.
This helps prevent damaging the load, rigging hardware, and lifting slings. The beams keep the slings from sliding off the load during a lift, too.

Vietnam is the country found in the easternmost part of Mainland Southeast Asia. It is the 15th most populous country in the world in 2016, with at least 94.6 million people.
It shares its land borders with Cambodia and Laos to the west, and China to the north; while its maritime borders are shared with Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines through the South China Sea and Thailand through the Gulf of Thailand.
Vietnam has a socialist-oriented market economy. It is the 45th largest in the world in terms of GDP (gross domestic product) and is the 33rd largest worldwide in terms of PPP (purchasing power parity.)
As a rich agricultural region, Vietnam is one of the largest exporters and consumers of rice in the world. Meanwhile, bauxite, a material used to make aluminum, is mined in Central Vietnam.
The country is big on exporting and importing goods, too. It has 44 seaports with a capacity of at least 500 million tons a year, including:
- Hai Phong
- Ho Chi Minh City
- Qui Nhon
- Da Nang
However, Vietnam also has a lot of smaller ports which takes its total number of ports to 320.
